PALM Packaging Bilbao has been part of the PALM Group since 2025. It is located in the north-west of Spain in the Basque Country, near the coast.
History
Cartonajes Bilbainos was founded in 1956 in Basauri (Vizcaya). In 1962, it was acquired by the North American group International Paper, becoming the group's first corrugated cardboard factory in Europe. In 1992, the factory moved to its current location in Arrigorriaga, 10 kilometers from its original location in Basauri. In 2025, the Arrigorriaga cardboard factory became part of the PALM Group and changed its name to Palm Packaging Bilbao.
For 70 years, Palm Packaging Bilbao has been one of the leading corrugated cardboard manufacturers in northern Spain, offering a wide range of corrugated cardboard products and solutions to its customers. Among its products, Heavy Duty cardboard stands out, for which Palm Packaging Bilbao is one of the leading manufacturers nationwide.
