Palm launches new graphic paper: Palm Diamond as alternative to SC-B quality

Palm paper mills continuously invest in their products and further development. With the development of "Palm Diamond", Palm is introducing a new improved newsprint grade to the graphic market, which is regarded as an extremely interesting economic alternative to SC-B quality.

The paper quality of Palm Diamond is characterised by excellent surface properties and has a whiteness of 68%. It is suitable for heatset web-offset (Palm Diamond 68 H) and gravure (Palm Diamond 68 G) printing purposes. This high-quality paper has a high gloss, exceptional smoothness and very good opacity. It is available in grammages of 48.8 g/m², 52 g/m² and 56 g/m².

Palm Diamond is primarily used for high-quality magazines, brochures and inserts. It offers publishers and printers an option to reduce costs while maintaining the highest level of printed reproduction quality.

Palm is sending a strong signal to the market with its new product in improved newsprint. In addition to the existing grades Palm News, Palm Print and Palm Top, which are suitable for coldset, heatset web-offset and gravure printing, Palm Diamond is a further enhanced sustainable product made from 100% recycled paper.

Palm Diamond has FSC, PEFC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and Blue Angel certifications. It is produced on the largest and most efficient newsprint paper machine in the world, at Palm's mill in King's Lynn, UK.
