Reichenbach, August 2026. Seyfert’s Reichenbach plant, part of PALM Packaging, has been honoured with the German Packaging Award 2026. The display developed for Haleon received the award in the Point of Sale category. The solution combines a distinctive design with a well-conceived and efficient corrugated board construction.
The display was developed to ensure clear and highly visible product presentation at the point of sale. Its defining feature is the large-scale representation of the Sensodyne or Sensodyne ProSchmelz tube. It attracts attention and makes both the product and brand instantly recognisable. At the same time, the product presentation remains clear and easy for consumers to understand at a glance.
Well-conceived construction with few components
Behind the eye-catching design is a deliberately simple construction. The display consists of only a few components and can be efficiently assembled and set up.
A special feature is the shared structural basis for mixed and single-product displays. Both versions use identical components and differ only in their printed design. During assembly, only the elements required for the respective version are used.
This reduces the variety of components and simplifies storage, assembly and set-up processes. At the same time, the system remains flexible enough to meet different requirements. Corrugated board is used as the material.
Jury recognises design and functionality
The jury of the German Packaging Award also highlighted the successful interplay of construction, material and design. In particular, it praised the sturdy corrugated board construction, the high-quality appearance of the material and the clear product presentation.
The jury described the large-scale product tube as an effective eye-catcher with a high degree of recognisability. At the same time, the product presentation is easy to understand at first glance and can be clearly associated with the brand. Overall, the display impressed both visually and functionally.
Award for packaging development in Reichenbach
The German Packaging Award recognises the development work of the Seyfert team at the Reichenbach site. The award-winning solution focuses not on unnecessary structural complexity, but on clear functionality, efficient use of materials and a design that meets the requirements of the point of sale.
