More range, more load capacity, more future: the eActros 600 L as a long truck sets new standards in electric long-distance transport

PALM expands its electric fleet with one of the first Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 L at Packwell Monheim.

PALM’s packaging plant Packwell Monheim is adding one of the first Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 L in long-truck configuration to its fleet. With this step, PALM continues its consistent path towards fleet electrification and further strengthens its sustainable transport logistics.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 L in the long-truck configuration combines the high electric range and efficiency of the new eActros with the transport advantages of an extended vehicle concept. The result: significantly more transport volume, fewer trips and zero CO₂ emissions. The eActros 600 L delivers a continuous output of 400 kW (544 hp) and can briefly reach a peak output of up to 600 kW (816 hp).

“We are very pleased that the eActros 600 L is coming to Monheim. This vehicle perfectly fits our strategy of making logistics both sustainable and high-performance for our customers,” explains Gero Hempel, Managing Director of Packwell Monheim.

At Group level, the investment is also seen as a strong signal: “With the eActros 600 L, we are expanding our electric fleet with a vehicle that ideally combines efficiency, range and transport capacity,” says Joachim Burkhardt, Head of Logistics at the PALM Group. “Especially in supplying our customers, we benefit from the higher volume and the reduced number of transport journeys.”

Mercedes-Benz Trucks also highlights the importance of the new concept. “The eActros 600 L as a long truck demonstrates how electric efficiency and maximum transport performance come together perfectly,” emphasises Helge Mühlhaus, Truck Sales Manager at S&G Automobil AG. “With the long-truck concept and state-of-the-art electric technology, we are setting a new standard in sustainable freight transport.”

The eActros 600 L is ideally suited for long-distance operations. With a range of up to 500 kilometres, high energy efficiency thanks to the modern e-axle, and significantly greater load volume in the long-truck format, it enables consolidated transport with lower energy consumption per unit. The latest assistance systems ensure safety in daily operation, while local zero-emission driving and fewer transport journeys sustainably improve the CO₂ footprint.
