Palm Recycling Limited also based at PM7 is responsible for suppling Palm Paper Limited with the required waste paper. Carrying out collections and recycling services for the public sector and for commercial clients.

Production, sales, logistics and finance functions for both Palm Paper Limited and Palm Recycling Limited is all based in King’s Lynn.

Job overview

Main purpose: Preventative and reactionary maintenance in order to reduce down time and improve the efficiency of plant & equipment. Provide fast and efficient failure analysis after breakdowns and technical incidents. Support and effect safe isolation of plant and equipment as required. Second stage of the on call service for the Electrical Department. Work in a manner that occupational accidents will be prevented.

Job description and main responsibilities:

  • Always follow safety instructions and comply with regards to equipment, procedures and processes.
  • Ensure you meet the compliance with OHS regulations and further relevant legal requirements.
  • Monitor the relevant areas for being in compliance with requirements for fire prevention as well as for cleanliness and order.
  • Responsible for the fault repair as well as for supporting other departments in case they need help in troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining all required records.
  • Accomplishment of all requested repair work of all manufacturing equipment and installations.
  • Co-operate with relevant staff members for fault prevention in a sense of an adequate total production maintenance system.
  • The jobholder maybe required to carry out additional tasks as instructed by the line manager or by process instructions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is used in accordance with H&S regulations and company rules.
  • Use resources as efficient as possible and ensure that all activities will be done in compliance with all legal regulations for environmental protection.

Essential knowledge, skills and experiences required:

  • Completed formal electrical apprenticeship with NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years Electrical engineer experience
  • A basic secondary education
  • An ability to operate relevant machinery and to comply with health and safety regulations

Contract Type:               Permanent (Full-Time)

Hours:                               40 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 0700 hrs to 1600 hrs with half an hour unpaid lunch break and Friday 0700 hrs to 1300 hrs)

Salary:                              £TBC Per Annum (depending on experience)

Reporting to:                  Electrical Supervisor

Start date:                       As soon as possible
