Palm Recycling Limited also based at PM7 is responsible for suppling Palm Paper Limited with the required waste paper. Carrying out collections and recycling services for the public sector and for commercial clients.
Production, sales, logistics and finance functions for both Palm Paper Limited and Palm Recycling Limited is all based in King’s Lynn.

Job overview
Accomplish of preventative maintenance in order to reduce down time and for improving the efficiency of the paper machine. Accomplish fast and efficient failure analysis after breakdowns and technical incidents. Monitor of all online measurement devices which are important for quality assurance during normal operation time.
Secure the first stage of the on call service for the Electrical and Mechanical Department. Always work in a manner that occupational accidents will be prevented.
Essential knowledge, skills and experiences required:
- Electrical engineer experience with electrical bias and NVQ or similar level 3 qualifications
- A basic secondary education
- An ability to operate relevant machinery and to comply with health and safety regulations
Job description and main responsibilities:
- Always follow safety instructions and comply with regards to equipment, procedures and processes.
- Ensure you meet the compliance with OHS regulations and further relevant legal requirements.
- Monitor the relevant areas for being in compliance with requirements for fire prevention as well as for cleanliness and order.
- Monitoring of the boiler and related equipment.
- Monitor the fresh water treatment as well as the quality of the fresh water.
- Initiate urgent measures in case of incidents of the boiler equipment for the steam supply.
- Responsible for the fault repair as well as for supporting other departments in case they need help in troubleshooting.
- Regular internal inspection of relevant equipment and installations.
- Maintaining all required records.
- Accomplishment of all requested repair work of all manufacturing equipment and installations.
- Co-operate with outside companies and support relevant staff members by coordination of activities.
- Specific responsibility for assigned outside companies as well as monitoring all their activities with regards to legal requirements for work safety and other related legal and/or internal requirements.
- The jobholder maybe required to carry out additional tasks as instructed by the line manager or by process instructions.
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Hours: 40 hours per week, continuous shift pattern, 24/7/365, annualised contract.
Rotating 8 hour shifts, 6 days on, 4 days off shift rota.
Between approx. June – September each shift changes to a 12 hour shift rota
with each shift receiving 18 days off, rotating 4 days on, 4 days off shift rota
Salary: £TBC Per Annum (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor
