Paper Technologist (m/f), specialisation in paper, board and cardboard

Are you interested in technology? Are you excited by big machines? Would you enjoy working in a performance-oriented team or do you fancy leading such a team? If your answer is yes, then the job as Paper Technologist (m/f) is exactly right for you.

The practical training takes place on one of the paper machines of Papierfabrik Palm at the respective training site. Further knowledge will be provided in the areas of quality assurance, maintenance and repair, power generation and wastewater treatment.


  • Good GCSE results, foundation or higher level, technical understanding and interest in sciences
  • Capacity for teamwork and a good sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to collaborate in a 5-shift-pattern operation following completion of the training


Duration of Training: -

  • 3 years
  • A-level students may learn this profession within just 2 years

Place of Training: -

  • Practical training takes place at Papierfabrik Palm in Aalen-Neukochen, Eltmann or Wörth, all in Germany
  • Vocational school with block instruction at Papierzentrum Gernsbach, Germany (16 weeks per annum)
